Outstanding Product (2009-05-07)
I bought this book to help me through the ECG Tech class at my local community college, as well as help me through the job. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in the topic. It really does explain everything from the actions of the heart to the different rhythms in layman's terms.

book review (2009-12-30)
I was very pleased with my purchase. I would definitely do business with this seller again.
Good content and pictures, worth the purchase (2009-04-27)
First, I would like to note that the book was a little bit damaged when it arrived. I decided not to return it because it was in acceptable shape and I did not want to waste time in the process. But amazon should put more attention to the way they pack books.
The book itself is great. It is very well written and the pictures are of excellent quality, plus lots of great drawings and tables. Do not look elsewhere, this is it.
Excellent Reference (2008-12-21)
This book has a great explanation and an image for just about anything you need in OB/Gyn sonography. I'm studying for my boards now and I am constantly referring to it. It's a book that I will use forever.
The book is the best (2003-12-09)
As a radiologist who reads quite a number of OB and GYN ultrasound each day, this book is a great reference

Awesome (2010-01-30)
Being familiar with Bob Page, I knew this would be a valuable asset to me as a Paramedic. It is a lttle involved if you are first learning dysrhytmias, but is a very good buy. The section on hemiblocks and axis deviation is outstanding.
12-Lead ECG (2009-10-06)
I love this book. This book breaks down the heart as it functions. It was very helpful when it came to understanding the different kinds of arrhythmias. Our instructor learned more from this book than from any other book she has taught from. The class loved it, we would have contests to see which one of us could indentify the correct rate and rhythm first. Now that's learning EKG/ECG's.
You can do it... (2009-02-24)
This book worked wonders for me. 12-lead classes I had taken before and books I had TRIED to read just never sank in. Page brings it 'down to the street' while adhering faithfully to the science of cardiology. When you finish the book and the tons of practice ECG's, you will be better at recognizing the things that matter most in a 12-lead than the majority of ER staff. Awesome book for all levels. (Beginners in ECG will struggle, you should have a basic rhythm interpretation class first)
Bob Page is the MAN! (2008-03-31)
I have been a medic since 1995. I have drug my feet about learning something new. I recently took 2 classes from Bob Page. If you are in EMS or public safety you know that most continuing ed classes are not inspiring shall we say. They are a required formality for keeping your license or certification. Well, Bob Pages are different. I took capnography and then 12 lead EKGs. I learned an incredible amount of information quickly. It was outstanding. This guy knows how to teach. If you are buying this book to learn 12 leads, you have either had his class and want even more or you NEED his class. He has a website. Find it. Get the guy to come to your service. If that is not an option, travel to one of his classes. You will not regret it. The guy taught the head of his hospital cardiology group stuff about bundle branches that the cardiologist did not know. And proved it. I am referring to the "turn signal theory" for determining axis deviation. Find out why you should say "NO LEAD II"
12 Lead ECG for the Adult Care Provider (2008-02-26)
This is a great book to learn or learn more about EKG's. I encourage anyone to purchase this. He is also a great speaker. If you can go to one of his courses, then, you would come back more knowledgeable and feel more confident when looking at and trying to read EKG's.

If you are looking for a SPI book with only questions and answers to review for the ARDMS exam, buy this book. (2010-03-03)
I just passed the ARDMS SPI test and used an old version of Kremkau's "Diagnostic Ultrasound Principles and Instruments" and Owens "Ultrasound Physics Review" to prepare. I recommend this book if you are just looking for questions and answers (more than 500 hundred plus 120 for the CME with no answers and the CME costs an extra $40). The book goes into more detail than the test especially on vascular. This book will not help you learn the material but it will be helpful to review especially if you do not take a review class.
But if you're looking at this book you care more about the SPI test than the book so here I go. The test was not hard and did not go into as much detail as I had anticipated (ie only one question on Rayleigh scatters and none on Reynolds #, Snells or Poisuille Law). Most of the artifact questions were on temporal resolution and enhancement. A couple on mirror artifacts. The two test object questions were on tissue equivalent phantoms. One question on using the range equation and one on the doppler equation. Three questions on annular array transducers. None on 3D or 1.5D transducers. One on harmonics. One was which intensity has the lowest power (sata etc). A couple on the beam former (it focuses and steers), One on apodization. two on phased array transducers. One on elevation slice thickness artifacts. One on mechanical index. Three on speed of sound in different tissues or range ambiguity. One on hydrophone, none on doppler test object. One on what is piezoelectric. One or two on the beam diagram, near field and focal point. A couple more on lateral resolution and beam diameter. One on linear array, none on curved but two on phased array (what can focus and steer). Several on the beam former and focusing (what is the focal diameter given the transducer diameter) Several on color doppler including one each on changing fq and aliasing, temporal resolution, autocorrelator and quadrature channel. A few on db (intensity is reduced by 3dB) and what is unit is intensity measured as (watt/cm2). One on Pt ID (what do you do first when you encounter an OP). One on what to do when your printer stops working (I fixed the jam but ARDMS might want you to call on someone). Many on properties of US including propagation speed and impedance and what effects them. Only one or two on bioefffects. A couple on reflection, none on refraction. None on display but one was how many grays are seen with a six bit memory. Nothing on pre and post processing. Not much on hemodynamics. Two question with images were of vessels one with low gain the other requiring the color angel to be changed. Sorry for the ramble but I want to get it down before I forget. That should give you a pretty good feel for what to study and best of luck.

case study book (2009-03-15)
This is exactly what I needed. I will do business with you again. Shipment was a little slow. Product was new and well wrapped. But all in all a good transaction.
I liked this one (2008-01-10)
An excellent book. It really worth its value.
very good images if not excellent, many technical and clinical tips which is really helpfull.
Cover anatomy, technique and pathalogoy in comperhensive way.
One of the best cased based books.
Great book (2007-08-13)
Great pictures.
Good selection of cases.
Good price.
I recommend this book just like all the others from this collection (Case Review).
Best of the Case Review series (2003-01-21)
This is definitely the best one out of the series. The pictures are excellent, often including labels to help the beginning resident get a grasp of viewing U/S anatomy. Each case is succintly presented with an excellent disccusion. The case selection is also fantastic, as it covers the important topics with the exclusion of OB/GYN (covered in it's own seperate series). All the info in this book is material residents should be expected to know.

A great Resource for the Vascular Medicine Physician (2009-01-26)
I have purchased this book and read it few times over the last 5 years. I use it primarily as a text book to refer to for the RVS, RVT, RPVI exam. there has allot of books about vascular US since this book was written but none as authoritative or complete.
If you are a practicing physician involved in the field of vascular US this book is a must. some of the vascular technicians I worked with found it a great aid.
If you are studying for a vascular US exam this book is great but it is ot the only book you need as it doesn't cover vascular US physics in depth.

The best textbook for the vascular tech (2008-09-10)
I have taught vascular diagnostic sonography since 1985, and for most of those years the Zwiebel text has been my main textbook. It is written specifically for the practicing vascular tech, and covers all aspects of the field thoroughly. If you're in the biz, or if you're learning to be in the biz, you must have this one.
Best buy. (2008-03-29)
It's one of those books you must read. It's simple and fast to read. You find all the basic information about the most common topics on vascular sonography and how to solve the day by day challenges you'll find in your routine. Best buy for beginners.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE WITH ANY VENDOR ON THE INTERNET EVER! (2009-09-16)
I accidentally ordered the wrong text book (my fault). I wanted to return the book and purchase the other or do a simple exchange. I attempted to contact the company thru this web site, then looked at packaging slip (there was no phone number available. Ultimately after multiple emails sent, with no response, I disputed the charge with the credit card company. Wouldn't you know it they jumped all over it. Again i am simply asking amazon to contact them for a simple refund. According to their return policy a full refund is possible for 30 days, I emailed them within 4 days of purchase. In any event it has been since march and no resolution. No evalutaion was listed because it is generally not my style to hurt anyones livelyhood. The book is still in its original wrapping and untouched, hopefully upon reading this they will do the right thing and fix the situation. If I could rate below a 1 I would.
Unsatified (2008-12-23)
As of yet, I still have not received my item. It is past delivery a whole week. No responses to my emails. I am requesting a refund!
Very helpful extra book. (2007-01-03)
It is always OK to use more than one book for study of a subject but for ECHO Feigenbaums is the bible. The 6th edition is a great book and DVD-ROM. Recommended for all levels of echocardiologists.
Ottos book is a helpful extra book. If you want to stick to one book get Feigenbaum's.
CV Anesthesiologist (2006-11-03)
Well written and easy to understand. Many TTE references are less useful to a beginner in TEE without much TTE experience.
useful but waiting for the new edition (2000-07-09)
I found this book is useful for all the cardiology trainee as it is well written, easy to understood and there is many figures. However, it did not mention the new technology in the field of echocardiography such as the tissue doppler, contrast echo. I hope the next edition will include this and the illustrations will be more colorful.

A must-have book for anyone taking ultrasound boards! (2009-08-24)
This was actually my second purchase of this book (first was an older version, loaned out but not returned!). The new one is great, includes information on fetal echocardiography that wasn't in the old. It had loads of questions you would likely see on your registries, along with a helpful explanation in the answer key. Definitely recommend!
This book will only confuse you. (2007-12-02)
If you are studying for the RDMS test, don't waste your time studying using this book. If you had a good solid core understanding of ultrasound...you will find this book full of errors...it had too many errors that it was sometimes amusing and frustrating at the same time. This book will only confuse you if you are just at the starting point of your studying process. DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED.
Excellent review for ultrasound physics (2007-03-10)
This book is a great investment for those preparing for the ARDMS Physics boards. It should be used along with a good physics text (such as Edelman's Understanding Ultasound Physics). Appleton and Lange's study guide provides a good REVIEW of physics; however, there is NOT enough material to study to fully prepare students to sit for the boards. The 500+ questions following the study guide provide the opportunity to APPLY knowledge. Explainations for most questions are offered in the answer section.
Good Review Book (2006-07-22)
I found this book a good review for the registry. There are a lot of questions at the end of the book to review the material that is covered.
REVIEW BOOK (2006-03-03)
This book is fantastic.
The only problem is that the whole abdomen review is in one chapter. So, when we have a test on only kidneys I need to go one by one & find only the kidney review questions.
But on a good note, i love that they explain why the answer is "C", for ex.
That's all!

FUNDAMENTALS OF MUSCULOSKELETAL ULTRASOUND packs a big punch for such a compact book. It teaches the resident, clinician and even medical student, how to perform and read musculoskeletal ultrasounds, while highlighting the basic anatomy needed to perform and interpret ultrasounds and the salient points needed to make diagnosis. Key anatomy, concepts, diseases and even controversies are highlighted, rather than presenting a lengthy tome covering the A to Z's of musculoskeletal ultrasound.
- Organized in a simple, outline format (emphasizing lists and tables) for easy access to information.
- Features almost 1200 high quality images that clearly demonstrate essential concepts, techniques and interpretation skills.
- Provides step-by-step instructions on how to perform musculoskeletal ultrasound techniques and interpret musculoskeletal ultrasound findings.
- Reviews sonographic anatomy of peripheral joints to help you understand the anatomy so you can interpret ultrasound scans with confidence.
- Reviews the sonographic appearances of common musculoskeletal pathologies to clearly differentiate one condition from another.

Great for beginners (2010-01-07)
The book includes tons of image examples of normal and pathology. The references to the images are not the clearest so it takes a while to figure out which imaging is being referred to.
Fundamentals of MSK ULTRASOUND (2009-11-03)
This is a easy and practical review for clinicians who are just starting ultrasound in clinical practice
Great Book (2009-09-27)
This is a great book, my practice recently bought a couple of ultrasounds and we bought a couple of books to keep on hand. The other physicians were passing this one book around so much, I had to buy another copy. The pictures are very helpful.

I bought this book and also bought Musculoskeletal Ultrasound for the Extremities: A Practical Guide to Songography of the Extremities by Randy E Moore. I prefer Dr. Moore's text, the pictures are better. This book doesn't have the patient and probe positions pictures, which are very helpful.

There are few situations in anesthesia where precise anatomic location is more important than in regional anesthesia. But, of course, any anesthesiologist who performs regional on a regular basis is fully aware of the frustration of attempting to locate nerves on a trial and error basis. Ultrasound imaging now enables us to visualize nerves, and this exciting technology offers several distinct benefits over conventional nerve locating techniques. The Atlas of Ultrasound and Nerve Stimulation-Guided Regional Anesthesia illustrates how to use ultrasound technology and nerve stimulation techniques to achieve consistently good results. Throughout the book, ultrasound images are correlated with MRI images to enhance anatomic identification. In addition, peripheral nerve block techniques for upper and lower extremities and the trunk are demonstrated step-by-step. With the luxury of being able to actually see the target nerve and the course of the needle as it approaches that nerve, anesthesiologists can now perform regional anesthesia with much greater accuracy. This approach allows the anesthesiologist to conduct regional anesthesia with much greater confidence and efficiency and in doing so the patient is the ultimate beneficiary in terms of success and safety.
